Daniel Gruneberg was born in August of 1985 in Mount Kisco, NY. He lived the majority of his early days in Mahopac, NY - where he attended kindergarten through High School. He grew up playing many sports, and having a passion for learning. His dedication and love for golf, brought him to be a top tier golfer in United States, playing in the [http://www.ajga.org AJGA] , and then eventually a Division 1 college program where competed against, who are now, [http://www.pga.com Professional Golf Association] tour players.
College
Daniel attended [http://www.quinnipiac.edu Quinnipiac University] [http://www.golfweekrankings.com/template/scores.asp?t=2004&u=/college/mens1/&v=10440.asp] for the first two years of his college career, before transferring to [http://www.fordham.edu Fordham University] . While at Fordham, Daniel studied International Finance, Mandarin, and Economics. He was also chosen to be the business student representative on a Global Outreach (GO!) trip to Central America. The GO! team comprised of 10 students, who were selected to work with local NGOs in
Belize to teach English, build homes, amongst other activities in the area.Professional
Currently, Daniel is a Co-Founder of a web 2.0 adventure travel marketplace called [http://www.ekoventure.com ekoVenture] . He runs their New York office, and directs their business development efforts.
Before he joined ekoVenture, Daniel was a founding team member at an emerging technology advisory and research firm called [http://www.luxresearchinc.com Lux Research] . Lux focused their efforts on physical sciences and clean technologies - and has been invited to speak in front of the
United States Congress , and contributed to the signing of the $4.6 billion 21st Century Nanotechnology Research and Development Act by President Bush.At Lux, Daniel created and managed a strategic initiative designed to help the financial services industry – mainly private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, and investment banks – to assist them in their investment and deal strategy in clean energy and materials. Daniel was also a member of the team who worked with the [http://www.energy.gov/ U.S. Department of Energy] on initiating and managing workshops with leaders in finance, energy, materials, and government to focus on making strides towards generating more technologies focused on energy efficiency based in the
