"Ohlson Lavoie Collaborative" (OLC) is a highly accomplished international architecture firm headquartered in Denver, Colorado. Established in 1961 by Stuart A. Ohlson and incorporated in 1978, OLC has grown and expanded with offices in Orlando, Florida; Tokyo, Japan; and Cairo, Egyptⁱ.

Our mission is to deliver value to the built environment through design. OLC has earned a solid reputation as a proven performer in architecture, interior design and aquatics. Since 1982 our focus has been athletic and recreation facilities. We have since diversified into medically based fitness centers, sports training facilities, university recreation centers, public recreation, golf clubhouses, learning centers and a broad range of aquatic projects. We have successfully completed over 1,000 design assignments, and since 1982, we have had a design role in more than 300 athletic and fitness facilities in 47 states and 9 countries.

Our clients rely on us to achieve a balance between innovation and experience, design excellence and cost control, creative sizzle and functional accommodation. Most important, we are committed to truly understanding the unique needs of each client and adding value through design. Our services are tailored to effectively serve the interests of each unique client. This means at one end of the project responsibility scale we can provide all-inclusive design and engineering services as the sole architect-of-record, and at the other end of the scale we can provide peer review services and consulting to other architects. Between these two ends of the spectrum, we can forge creative alliances with local architects, other design providers, engineers or sub-contractors to best address the unique circumstances of each project and each client.

At OLC, we believe that our clients’ insight and judgment in creating their business objectives play a key role in the design process and we partner that insight with our aesthetic vision and problem solving skills to create a successful design project.
