With a voice that can be powerful and soothing in the same instance and a spirit-driven musical talent, Bobby Kane has become one of the more famous names in [New York] City's [underground music scene] . Those who know him speak of his kind nature and uplifting spirit. Many a shy and frightened novice has gained courage to continue their musical endeavors with his helping hand to guide them. It could be something as simple and playing a bit of [lead guitar] behind them on a stage at an [open mic] or giving instruction on how to become a self taught, [gigging musician] like himself. Either way, more and more people are striving to make Bobby Kane a household name.

Currently, Mr. Kane is working on building what he likes to call a "Welcoming and supportive, musical family" within the open mic scene. Bobby Kane has a heart of gold, which can be confirmed by anyone blessed enough to have the opportunity to be in his presence for even a minute. He has come to the rescue of many of the people in his life and refuses to take credit for this. He simply would say "karma does wonders". And remember, to stay in his good graces, don't ever harsh his mellow.

----"I'm not perfect"..." Bobby said during an interview. "..."and I don't ever think I would want to be. I've been through and have done a lot of imperfect things in my life. I don't have any regrets. There are some things I thought would either kill me or destroy my soul but I can't regret them. They've made me who I am and, for the most part, I like me."

----Bobby was born in Brooklyn, on February 10th. 1976. Son of Theresa Ambrose and Gary Powell, was given the name Anthony Ambrose. As he grew older and made his way into Junior High School,he became disenchanted with the name Anthony and the various mispronunciations. He would introduce himself as Tony.

From the age of five, he lived with his godparents, Arneita and Robert Smith. At age thirteen, he was adopted by the Smith family and changed his name to Robert.

Kane first made its way into his life during the second grade when he stopped a young girl from being fondled by an older man on a side street near his school in Queens. Several witnesses saw the young man chase the offender using his own cane. A day after the event, he received a note from the girl calling him "My Kane Man" and the misspelling remained with him from then on.

"I kept that note all the way up until 1999." He said. "It was one of the few material things I've ever thought of as valuable. I think about her from time to time and I had seen her a few time long after all of that but I vowed never to say her name again. Once I found out what happened to her later... drugs... I just don't get it. I couldn't tell you how many lives I wish I could have saved but I'll tell you she was one of them."
