Catarina, Masaya

Catarina is a municipality in the Masaya department of Nicaragua.It boasts one of the most corrupt town councils (Alcaldia) in Nicaragua, current and ex-members of which have been involved in [http://www.freewebs.com/nicaragua-property-dispute/ Land Fraud and Corruption] for a number of years.Recently, the town council and its long-time attorney have allied with the local representative of the Procuraduria General of the Republic of Nicaragua in order to get Government backing to the theft of private land owned by foreign investors.
