Farallon Capital Management, L.L.C. founded March 1986 by Thomas F. Steyer manages equity capital for institutions and high net worth individuals, including college endowments, foundations, and pension plans. It employs 150 people in headquarters in San Francisco. It invests globally in businesses and securities undergoing changes such as mergers, restructuring and recapitalization. Investments include public and private debt and equity securities, direct investments in private companies, and real estate.
