Norvin Hagan was the owner and visionary of Geographics Incorporation. In 1976 Hagan gathered all the money he could and purchased bankrupt printer and gave it the name “Geographics”. Under the ownership and discipline of Hagan, Geographics over the years, became one of the largest privately owned, graphic art company in Georgia. [www.geographicsinc.com] This printing company has had its issues throughout the years, but the vision of Norvin Hagan has remained and he has persevered. His determination and willingness has built a very successful company in the industry. Over the years people have made note of Hagan and how he proudly points out that Geographics is now able to offer employment to over 180 Atlanta area families. Geographics has the capability to web printing, sheet-fed printing, and digital printing. Web printing is where three full heat set webs from two to twenty-four page configureations, one that can make one-color plate without stopping the press. Sheet-fed printing is where three; forty inch presses with aqueous, UV and varnish capabilities and also has the ability to print five-by-five or up to ten colors in one pass as well as lots more. Digital printing is with a HP Indigo Press 5000 that prints up to six colors with varnish and true PMS inks. This printing company has been used by many famous labels. They have printed books and magazines for different department stores, such as Belk. The incorporation has also printed museum exhibitions, such as the Titanic. Geographics is also a recycle friendly incorporation. All of their printing plates are recycled so they do not waste anything.
