Falgu Teerath

Falgu Teerath

Falgu Tirath is an Indian pilgrimage undertaken by Hindus during the Shraadhs to a place called Falgu. Falgu village is located in Distt Kaithal/Karnal [Location] of India. The village is located between villages Pundri and Dhand in Distt Kaithal and is very near to Kurukshetra city in the State of Haryana [ [Location] ] . During the Falgu Tirath, the Hindus make offerings in the form of Pind Daans in the remembrances of their ancestors. It is believed that the offerings (Pind Daan) done in favour of forefathers at the place relieves their soul from the cycle of rebirth [ [Pind Daan] ] . In a way it is like taking care of "Atma" or soul of your parents for a good place in heaven. The Pind Daans after Prayers are offered to the Sacred Pond in the heart of Falgu Village.

The Road between Daund and Falgu is 3m wide and during the pilgrimage, because of heavy rush of pilgrims it becomes very difficult to reach the sacred pond.
