“Queers In History” is an
encyclopedia of historically prominent people who werelesbian ,gay ,bisexual , ortransgender .It was first published on
diskette in early1993 , and in an expandedCD-ROM format by the end of1994 . It was one of the firstnew media titles to be distributed through bookstores. It was available in over 600independent bookstores worldwide, and at selected locations of chains includingBorders Books ,Barnes and Noble ,W.H. Smith , Rizzoli, andWaterstones . It went out of print in 1996.A new, completely revised edition will be published as a
trade paperback byBenBella Books in Autumn, 2009.The author of “Queers In History” is
