Cedartown High School is the only high school in the city of
Cedartown, Georgia . It is run by the principal, Hal David and Polk School District currently under Superintendant Marvin Williams. It is currently one of the most historic places in Cedartown its “new” building and is a welcoming place to attend."On behalf of the students, faculty, and staff, I welcome you to the Cedartown High School website! Our school was founded in 1887 and has been in existence for 121 years. We have a long, rich tradition in academics, athletics, band, and more recently drama. We encourage you to give us an opportunity to educate your child. We are excited about the future as we continue to develop a culture of high expectations and high levels of achievement for every student. We are focused on academic achievement and seek to get each student to realize his or her potential. We are turning up the heat in pursuit of academic excellence! "

The school was founded in 1887 and grew with the town into a new age. In 1903 the school created a football team with the mascot "The Cedartown Bulldogs." By the 1930's, the school was rebuilt in a new location in order to contain the growing teenage population of the town. Vocational or "elective" classes weren't added until the 1930's and finally a school band was added in 1941. In 1970 the school rebuilt once again in a different location in the town and was one of the first comprehensive high schools in the area.

On average, Cedartown High School enrolls around 1200 students per year, classifying them as a 3A school by the Georgia High School Association. They still go by the bulldog as a mascot, which they interpret to symbolize strength and endurance. The colors, red and black, are described in their Alma Mater.

In past ten years The Bulldogs have gone to Regional Championships for football three times and to State Championship once. The band has gotten numerous awards at numerous competition including Grand Champion at Osborne Marching Competition in 2004. The drama team has been known to win numerous awards as well. In the past four years they've won 3 regional 6AAA one-act competitions and gone to state competition. Cedartown also has a successful FBLA team, DECA team, and Academic Bowl Team. Also, in 2008, a 17-year-old in the welding Skills club won in a state competition and went to Nationals.
