Freeze & Fur Coat is an indie-rock band from Tacoma, Washington, and one of the many acts listed under the banner of local label Dear Records. Composed of Brandon Hughes (vocals, guitar), Zach Dimmick (lead guitar, synthesizer), Patrick Johnson (rhythm guitar, synthesizer, clarinet), Ian Hamilton (bass, synthesizer) and Myles Hawthorne (drums, percussion), they have been described as "sonically melancholy... the (Dear Records) band you should watch most closely". History

The members of Freeze & Fur Coat met while attending Tacoma School of the Arts. Having worked together in previous bands, the initial line-up consisted of Brandon Hughes, Zach Dimmick, Ian Hamilton and Colin Reynolds (of Tree Roots). In 2007, they officially adopted the name Freeze & Fur Coat and added Patrick Johnson to the roster. In 2008, Myles Hawthorne replaced Colin Reynolds on drums and percussion.
