Arrabida is a
Portuguese wine region centered around theArrabida hills on thePenínsula de Setúbal . The region has the second tier "Indicação de Proveniencia Regulamentada " (IPR) classification and maybe some day promoted toDenominação de Origem Controlada (DOC). The soil of the area is predominatelylimestone with good drainage potential for the cultivation of red wine varieties. Many wines grown in this area are sold under theTerras do Sado VR designation.
