Laura M. Brotherson

Laura Mason Brotherson is the author of the best-selling book "And They Were Not Ashamed: Strengthening Marriage Through Sexual Fulfillment". She is also a speaker on subjects related to marriage and a relationship consultant.

Biography

Laura Mason was raised in Cardston, Alberta; Rigby, Idaho; and Tacoma, Washington. Brotherson received her bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in Family Sciences.

She and her husband Kevin Brotherson were married in 1991 in the Seattle Washington Temple. In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), she has served as a Relief Society president, a Young Women preisdent, and in various teaching-related callings. She developed the Stregthening Marriages curriculum for the Church Educational System continuing education curriculum. Although born in Canada, she is now an American citizen.

She has contributed articles to such publications as "Meridian Magazine" and MormonTimes.com. She also runs a website, www.stregtheningmarriage.com. She is a member of the executive commitee of the LDS Marriage Network.
