Nikhil (Nick) Jassawalla (born October 22, 1987 in Mumbai, India) is an Indian-born, San Francisco Bay Area-based film producer and screenwriter. His production company is Electric Castles Film Group. He is the nephew of prominent Indian Journalist and Socialite, Darryl D'monte. He's also a relative of Shiamak Davar.

Early Life

Nikhil Jassawalla was adopted in Mumbai by an Indian father and American mother. Jassawalla grew up in Orinda, California.

Education

Nikhil Jassawalla attended Miramonte High School in Orinda, California. He studied Economics at Diablo Valley College (DVC), then transferred to Academy of Art University, San Francisco, where he currently studies Film.

Career

Nikhil Jassawalla began his career at the young age of 19, when he wrote his first feature screenplay "Mumbai Direct," which is currently in Pre-Production (As of September, 2008). Since his career launch, Jassawalla has written two other screenplays ("Freezing December" and "Goodbye Dreamer") both of which are also in Pre-Production (As of September, 2008). In 2008, Nikhil Jassawalla founded Electric Castles Film Group (ECFG) with Tyler Pavey and Orson Ossman, two students from Chapman University (Orange, CA). Jassawalla is the President and CEO of ECFG. The company's focus is split between Bollywood and Hollywood.

Personal Life

Nikhil Jassawalla currently lives both in Orinda, California and Orange, California.
