- Sego Festival
Provo hosts the Sego Festival each fall. The festival began in 2006 as a way to highlights musicians, artists, and filmmakers based in Utah County. In 2007 the festival was changed from the summer to the fall, apparently to take advantage of the higher number of students in Provo at that time of year.
The 2008 featured a kick-off on Friday, September 26 at 100 N University Avenue. This was followed by an all day multi-stage concert on Saturday, September 27 at the Rock Castle Amphitheater above the Utah State State Hospital. As always, the 2008 festival was free to the public. If featured over fifty bands, numerous local visual artists, and over 100 volunteers. Meetings were held weekly at the Sego Arts Center and Velour Live Music Gallery beginning in the summer.
