- Herris Malloy
Herris Malloy
Herris J Malloy is a fictional character created by Adam Thompson. He has been noted for his deformed face and unusual voice. Approximately forty years old, Herris has been decribed as sadistic, heartless, vicious, psychopathic, dangerous and cat-loving man. He has killed numerous people of throughout the years and has had a radical life (both pre and post-creation) and resides in Youtube. He often hosts many of A. Thompsons works, such as Welcome to Randomville (which he is apparently mayor of) and is part of a chat show called; 'This Evening, with Herris J Malloy.
Origin
Herris Malloy was the combination of two characters; a nameless serial killer with a face that was twisted to the right, and an unusual character from a dream. Aparently in the dream Herris Malloy was a kind and misunderstood character; a deformed freak living in the 18th century. Adam Thompson was a young novelist-in-training, and discovered Herris in an old abandoned shack just outside of the University that he worked at. Due to his deformed appearance he was dubbed as retarded, however he was in fact a talented writer and wrote many a great works however the Univeristy refused on every account to take them in. Adam Thompson proposed that he send in the many works of Herris Malloy under his name, and so the University discovered the talents of Herris Malloy without even knowing it.It was many weeks later however, when Adam Thompson began explaining this 'elephant man-esque' character he often began describing his voice in the way that he had displayed the nameless serial killer character with a twisted face and a voice that was : 'a cross between Freddy Kruger, the Grinch and Richard Nixon.'It was in the following weeks after scrapping ideas of writing a heart-felt tale of Herris Malloy's life and his encounter with Adam Thompson, that he decided to give Herris Malloy a much more twisted persona. He decided that perhaps the Herris Malloy known in the book that was never meant to be was nothing like the real Herris Malloy; the one known today. The new Herris was known to go up to people and whisper things like: 'Can I drink your blood' or 'If you scream I'll rip out your eyes.' The combination of the face, the voice, the name and the video was completed when Adam learnt something completely trivial but he decided to : 'Make a mountain out of a mole-hill'. When watching a Don and Murph video (a popular series of film reviews on youtube) he learnt that neither of them are called Don and Murph, a duo that he had come to love, but were actually called Shawn and M.J. Kelly. He built Herris' first video on this, quoting: 'You took my heart and you broke it!' Herris Malloy professes his enjoyment for the Don and Murph videos, but bellows: 'Any more outbreaks like this, and there will be hell to pay.'He apparently is very fond of cats, but extremely dangerous. In his comedic videos, he is portrayed as a psychotic creep who made odd videos, however Herris' real aura is supposed to be quite a meanacing one, it was only when the plans for 'Herris Malloy - the Series' that Herris' true colours shone out, after all, the eventual concept of Herris Malloy was to be a mad killer.
The Herris Malloy Series
The Herris Malloy series was always planned to be made after Herris' debut videos, however, few expected the dark themes and dastardly nature of Herris. Most people thought of Herris as a creepy retard, but in fact he is a psychotic murderer with frightening cunning. The series followed the adventures of three friends: Michael Price (played by Andrew Tayor), Phil Johnson (played by Greg Straughan) and Jim Sinclair (played by James Bell) as they are hunted by Herris.A new character in introduced during the second episode, a young boy called Joe (played by Thomas Cafferky) who explains to the three boys Herris' plans and what he does with his life. He apparently makes it his duty to go from place to place, murdering a group of people, but those people have to have something special about them, apparently (revealed in the fourth episode) Herris picked those three boys because they were the youngest people in the street, however it varies from place to place why he chooses his victims. Joe explains that he is the only survivor of Herris' Hunt, as he escaped to Mexico before Herris could finish the job of killing the group of people, so the chain was broken. In the series, Herris is also quite different than in that of his comic videos, first of all, he has special abilities, and second of all he cannot die. Herris greatest ability is that once he is killed he can rise form the grave exactly one week after he had been killed, he apparently earned this ability when he was sent to hell and spat back out a week later, and so this phenomenon would occur every time he was killed. He can no longer age, but thirsts and hungers for flesh and blood. His abilities however, are hindered by certain things, first of all, he cannot enter a church, touch hallowed earth, he is paralysed by crucifixes and is seriously burnt and hurt by Holy Water, although, these burns are internal. His abilities also are less powerful if that person is not afraid, however most of his victims are not afraid, but when he causes something to frighten them, he gains energy and can become stronger, his powers, however become unrivalled and immensely powerful when is reaches midnight, at midnight he is invincable for one minute, after then he vanishes. He is also restricted within the boundaries of that street, meaning, if his victim leaves the street, i.e. to go to school, he has no power over them, but in some cases can be transported by fear, and example being when the four main characters go to school, during class they are all so terrified they accidentally give Herris power enough to manifest through their fear. The Herris in the series also happens to be the full concept of Herris; he wears a fine suit, a trait not seen in his comic videos, so far. Luckily, Herris maintains his awful sense of humour, in a sadistic sense, but still his original trait of dry sarcasm and jokes, similar to that of Freddy Kruger or Chucky, is still there. He also enjoys to 'play with his prey', which means he often lets his victims run around or hide (being powered by their fear he know where thye are all the times) and lets their fright build-up as to fuel him with more and more energy, he sometimes lets his victims live for as long as a month just so that he sucks every last drop of fear out of them. The series is as follows:
Episode One - The Rise of Herris Malloy :Herris is introduced into the story as well as the three friend, Michael, Phil and Jim, not so much happens in the first episode, but it is a build-up mainly for the second episode.
Herris Malloy Strikes:This episode is set directly after the first episode, in which the three boys meet Joe who tells them about Herris and what he plans to do with them. This episode shows the first exhibit of Herris' abilities, and his weaknesses.
The Wrath of Herris Malloy:This episode is based around the three friends coping against Herris, and shows Herris being transported to their school by means of the three boys' fear, it is in this Episode that he manages to twist the boys minds radically, it also shows a knew character, the Night Child, who visits all of them in their sleep, claiming to be able to help them, but actually being Herris in disguise.
The Death of Herris Malloy:Following on from the third episode, Herris kidnaps Phil and takes him to his 'House of Horrors' where he tortures him out of the boundaries of the street, which leaves him without powers but still dangerous and evil. As entitled, the kids manage to kill Herris and rejoice.
The Triumphant Return of Herris Malloy:Exactly one week after his death, Herris rises form the grave, a trait unknown to any of the kids, and he kills all of them off one by one in the most brutal ways imaginable, he kills Joe last quoting: 'You can run, You can hide, but you can't win!' the slogan of the HErris Malloy series.
Early Life
Herris was born to prostitue Anne-Marie Henderson, and was the child of a customer to his mother, who she did not know the name of. His mother had rarely been around, but had been engaged to Lawyer Edward Malloy, who he got his surname from. He never liked Herris for his deformity, and usually got angry at him for not being able to pronounce his name: Horace, properly. He had no idea that his fiance was a prostitute, and married her without knowing it. After a year of marriage, he found out, and became a heavy drinker when he realised he had to get divorced. Stricken with anger and grief he began to take it out on Herris and on Anne. He abused both of them and beat Herris maliciously as a child, however Herris at the age of seventeen, killed both of them and ate most of the remains. He was placed in St Catherine's Asylum until he was thirty years old and had organised a heist and broke out along with various over patients. Gathering these patients he became a master of organised crime, but slowly began to kill his associates off when he craved solitary crime. He did so, and became twisted as he re-discovered his lust for blood and carnage. He apparently slaughtered all of his ten associates and hung them all with their own intestines. Imprisoned many times he escaped without fail, however eventually met his end when he was caught in a gunblaze between police, he was brougt down by one hundred police men, originally one hundred and fifty, but he had killed most of them. After this Herris' life became much more unusual, he died and was supposedly spat back from Hell a week after he had been shot dead, and so everytime this happened he rose one week later, however, he explained in the fifth and final episode of the series:'I didn't come back to Earth for nothing, you know, the Devil granted me great things, and with those things I've slaughtered millions'. He had apparently been bribed to go back to Earth instead of staying in Hell.
Name
Herris Malloy's name had been revered as outlandishly odd and difficult to spell. Some spell Herris 'Heriss' some believe to be 'Harris' or 'Hariss' as Harris is an actually name. If it were not for Adam Thompson's dream he would have no idea what to call this insane creature, in fact, he actually stated that in the dream he specifically asked someone the name of Herris because he himself had forgotten. A woman had told him: "Herris, Herris Malloy". It was actually revealed that Herris is not his real name; Malloy is his real name, but do his his disfigured face an various speech impediments, he pronounces his name Herris instead of what it should be. His real name is in fact Horace Malloy, (Hor-ass) but pronounces it (Her-iss). He has made it clear that his name is Horace, but prefers to be called Herris, and entitles all of his videoes under the name of Herris.
