Verizon Wireless G'zOne Boulder

The GZone Boulder is a handset offered by Verizon Wireless since August 2008. It is marketed as a durable, rugged, water resistant handset that can weather rough handling and can be submerged in a meter of water for thirty minutes. The phone features Casio G-Shock technology. The phone is a clamshell design.

Automated Software Updates

The handset is one of Verizon's first to offer automatic updates of the handset's operating system software. Whereas formerly, customers would have to dial *228 to manually run updates, this handset features a "special offering" mode complete with a notice beep and a countdown clock, warning the user of the automated imminent update.

The phone is Enhanced 911 enabled.

The phone includes a desktop cradle that stands into an phone upright position. The handset has a still and video camera on its top edge.
