Yu-San Moon (1977 - ) is an American conceptual cartoonist and writer. Moon originally grew up outside of Philadelphia and currently resides in Manchester, NH. [http://yusanmoon.wordpress.com/about/] Moon first unveiled his artwork for the first time to the general public on September 25, 2008 online through his blog at WordPress.com.
Moon's drawing style is a blend of Disney-like characters mixed with the cynical attitude of cartoons such as The Simpsons or Family Guy. Moon's artwork is generally considered to be more offensive than the network cartoons, and showcase his antidisestablismentarianism by mocking topics such as religion, abortion, the government, and even Presidential candidate, Barack Obama. Works published online by Moon include "Carnieville", which is about a non-travelling group of carnival folk who have formed the first “Carnie”-only town located somewhere in the Midwest. Another work, "Karate Joe", is a cartoon Moon has been working on since 1990, is a comic strip about a guy named Karate Joe who battles a gang of stick-figure bad guys.
