Gentics Content.Node is a content management system developed by Gentics Software GmbH in Vienna, Austria. It offers a web-based interface and WYSIWYG-editor which allows editing directly within the webpage by clicking on icons near each content element. Additionally it provides a simplified editing interface (called CMS-WIKI-editor) for editors with few technical skills (this editor can be opened directly from within the webpage). All contents are saved in a database and can be published as static files (PHP, JSP, ASP, HTML, XML, TXT, CSS, JS, etc) and synchronized to a web-server (per rsync or FTP). Contents will be saved in a universal content repository which can be used for real-time-query on the content and personalization purposes. For this content repository there exist APIs (Java, Webservice, PHP, REST) for defining queries.
