Brian Tyrrell

Brian Tyrrell (born in Dublin) is a former Irish football player who played as a forward.

He played for Shamrock Rovers in the 1960s.

In September 1963 he emigrated to New York City along with Tony O'Connell [http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/archive/1963/0904/Pg005.html#Ar00504:26F51F29953924237B27D3951D262320863D25E6F229870C1E637C2343961756241C563E2066F425470E16D53217154C17453219954C19A5311AE54B1745671AB581] .

He made 2 appearances in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup against previous winners [Real Zaragoza] in 1965.

Within days of winning the 1966 FAI Cup he signed for Australian side Sydney United [http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/archive/1966/0427/Pg003.html#Ar00308:69DDFF6C9E196E9E11723E2B722E10727E2A68AE116DCE2B6A8DB770BDD86DEDFF717E1973CE8C775EA6] .
