Silver trifluoromethanesulfonate, or silver triflate is the triflate salt of silver. Since the triflate anion is weakly-coordinating, it is useful as a halide abstraction reagent. This is similar to other silver salts, e.g. the tetrafluoroborate and the hexafluorophosphate.
