Hannah Beerman

Hannah Faye Beerman (born February 2, 1992) is a poet journalist who first gained recognition through her internet blog "Hannah LaWillow." Critics and music fans logged onto her blog and soon praised Beerman's knack for witty music commentary, poety, and art. Early interviews posted online include indie sensation Islands and Omaha natives The Faint. Biography

Beerman was named after philosopher and thinker Hannah Arendt. Art has been an essential aspect of Beerman's life as she was born and raised in the birthplace of artist Joseph Cornell, in riverside town South Nyack, NY. Her father John Beerman is a popular landscape artist and has work in The Metropolitan Museum of Art. [http://www.metmuseum.org/] Her mother Susan is an art consultant. Her grandmother, Sylvia Roth, is a master printermaker, and lives with the Beermans.

Understandably, Beerman's firt love was visual arts. She studied drawing, painting, printmaking and scultpture from a young age.
