Mask of Warka

, is approximately 20 centimeters tall, and carved of marble. The face depicted is that of a woman, and is one of the earliest representations of the human face.

The mask was looted from the National Museum of Iraq during the fall of Baghdad in April, 2003. It was later recovered in September of 2003 and returned to the museum.
