Rising Shadows is a Neoclassical band formed in Stockholm, Sweden by composer Fredrik Klingwall in 1996.

Biography

The band originally started by Fredrik Klingwall as a one-man project under the name Shadow of the Concealed.Released one demo and then changed name into Rising Shadows in 1997. After a couple of demos the project was moreor less on hold until vocalist Linda-li joined in 2004 and the new demo Horror Vacui was created.

In 2006 their first album Falling Deep Within was released by Twilight Records [Side-line.com [http://www.side-line.com/news_comments.php?id=18074_0_2_0_C "More releases from Argentina on Twilight Records"] , "Side-Line", 2006-10-19. Retrieved on 2008-09-25.] . The album featured songs rich with medieval and nordic folk influences. They also appeared on two compilation issued by fantasy label Waerloga Records.

For the recordings of the second album Found In The Cold in 2008 they were joined by former Katatonia bassist Guillaume Le Huche.
