Camlock

Camlock

A camlock, or 'cam' for short is often used in temporary electrical power production / distribution. It is common in uses where more than 50A is required or 3 phase connections are in use. Camlocks are used to connect large generators or building disconnects to either a distribution panel or lighting dimmer rack. They are usually found only in professional environments.

The colors correspond to the different functions of the line, and are not arbitrary. Extra caution should be used to verify correct phase in relation to color coordination with foreign companies and equipment in traveling productions. The correct standard are as follows:

In technical rock climbing a camlock is a type of chock, shaped as an eccentric half-cylinder. As weight comes on a camlock, it attempts to rotate, tightening the anchor further.

Camlock Couplings are for liquid materials to rapidly connect and disconnect fitting on piping or hose, they come is a variety of materials to be used with different liquids and a variety of sizes to accommodate hose or piping diameter.
