Long Beach's Laugh Factory is part of the Laugh Factory chain of comedy clubs owned by Jamie Masada.It is Located at 151 S Pine Ave In downtown Long Beach, California. It is the 4rd Laugh Factory to open in and the 3rd in Southern California.

The Laugh Factory Long Beach held its Grand Opening on on September 20, 2008.

The Long Beach Laugh Factory is home the the official Laugh Factory Stand-Up Comedy Hall of Fame and Museum. Which holds over 500 pieces of of comedy memorabilia from notable comedians like Rodney Dangerfield and Groucho Marx [http://www.ocregister.com/articles/rodriguez-kennedy-lovitz-2164984-night-comedy] and wax figurines of Whoopi Goldberg and Eddie Murphy

Grand Opening Criticism

On September 20, 2008 the Laugh Factory of Long Beach, celebrated its opening night with a promise of an All Start Comic Line-up that included Dane Cook, Brad Garrett, Jamie Kennedy, Jon Lovitz, Bob Saget and Paul Rodriguez. Guest were able to purchase tickets ranging from $75 to $125 with the proceeds benefiting United Jewish Federation.

Unfortunately 4 out of the 6 Comics that were scheduled to appear canceled extremely last minute.

It is said that it being Emmy weekend many last minute conflicts arose. Jamie Kennedy apparently had an car accident on the 405 freeway on the way to the show [http://soundcheck.freedomblogging.com/2008/09/22/laugh-factory-owner-explains-long-beach-flop/]

Jon Lovitz and Paul Rodriguez were the only promised acts that appeared. Fortunately Last Comic Standing's Alonzo Bodden and Comedy Radio hosts Frazer Smith and Jeremy Hotz were able to stop by an make a special guest appearances.
