Madrasatul Islah, a traditional Islamic institution of learning, at Sarai Mir in Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh was established by Maulana Muhammad Shafi 1906 with the help of prominent people of the area, with a view to reform the Muslim society [ [http://www.madrasaislah.org/history.htm Official Website] ] .
