The Abbey Resort is located in the small town of Fontana-on-Geneva Lake, WI overlooking Geneva Lake. The Abbey was built in 1963 and boasts the world's tallest wooden A-frame. This resort was among the first successful condominium hotels and has recently changed hands to be managed by Hostmark Hospitality Group. A popular destination for everyone from wedding parties to vacationers to corporate groups, the Abbey serves as a meeting place for families and businesses from across the country and across the world. While the Abbey Resort operates at full capacity during high season from Memorial Day until Labor Day, business takes a substantial drop when the cold Wisconsin winter sets in.In 2005 The Abbey Resort underwent a much need $40 million dollar renovation to update everything from the guest rooms to the restaurants.
