The Luke Abbate Scholarship Foundation is an award that is given out to a person who writes an essay on the biggest obstacle they have overcome in their life. This scholarship is open to anyone who wants to attempt writing this essay. The essay is revised over by the Abbate family and they will choose a recipient to receive either a full or partial scholarship. This foundation is also set to team up with the National Safety Foundation to help educate teenagers in our country. This Foundation was founded after Luke Abbate was in a fatal car crash over four years ago. The Abbate family decided that they wanted to help other teenagers by teaming up with the National Safety Foundation. The family decided that they wanted to have teenagers write an essay on the biggest obstacle that they have overcome. In the event of doing this the Abbate’s and the National Safety Foundation felt that they could step in and help teenager’s realize that they are responsible to make the right decisions. The recipients of this award are awarded by a percentage of money that is put towards further schooling. The recipient is also trusted by the Abbate family when they receive this award. They are trusted to make wise decisions when they are in some kind of situation or dilemma. The family not only wanted to do this to help people make better decisions and provide financial support, but they also wanted to do it for their sake.
