For the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest, the song "Yamma, Yamma," composed and performed by Pave Maijanen, written by Hector, was chosen to represent Finland after it won the national final selection. Held on 29 February at the Typhon Hall in Turku, the event was hosted by Kati Bergmann. Pave Maijanen hasn't participated in national finals before, but he was backing singer for Kojo in 1982 and for Ami Aspelund in 1983.

"Yamma, Yamma" was performed in 12th position on the night of the contest, following Iceland's "Nei Eða Já" and preceding Switzerland's "Mister Music Man". "Yamma, Yamma" came last in the contest with 4 points.
