- Gooiboog
The Gooiboog is a
railway curve which links theFlevolijn with theGooilijn . It is located in the Netherlands.The link is double tracked. The outside bend is 2200 metres long, the inner bend is 1400 metre. The outside track is in a tunnel for 1500 metres long. It runs under the Gooilijn and joins the Gooilijn.

Almere ,Hilversum andUtrecht .History
In 1980 work began on the construction of the Flevolijn and in 1987 opened as far as Almere Buiten. In 1988 the line continued to
Lelystad . In 1987 plans were already talked about for the need of a link to Hilversum, Utrecht andAmersfoort . At present there is no link betwen Almere and Amersfoort.At first it was planned to have a
fly-over but residents of Weesp complained it would ruin their view of theNaardermeer .The curve began to be built in 2000 and finally opened on 14 December 2003.
Gooiboog Use
The regular service over the Gooiboog is the stoptrain Almere Oostvaarders - Hilversum - Utrecht Centraal
Also 3x per morning (Monday-Friday) there is a stoptrain Lelystad Centrum - Utrecht Centraal
