Juan Ramón Jara (born August 6, 1970) is a former football defender from Paraguay.

Career

Jara started his career in Olimpia of Paraguay before going to Argentina to play for clubs such as Rosario Central, Independiente and Colón de Santa Fe. He spent his best years playing for Rosario Central, where he has more than 100 caps [ [http://www.futbolxxi.com/Futbolista.aspx?ID=5791&SEOFutbolista=Jara+Juan+Ramon Profile at futbolxxi.com] ] and was part of the team that finished as runners-up of the Copa CONMEBOL in 1998. Jara then returned to Paraguay to play again for Olimpia and then had brief stints at Nueva Chicago (Argentina), Emelec (Ecuador), Nacional and 3 de Febrero (Paraguay) before finally playing for Portuguesa Fútbol Club of Venezuela in 2007.
