Ruby Tombs

Ruby Tombs

"Ruby Tombs" was a short-lived DIY band from Bradford, England. It consisted of LauraLee (vox), William Rook (guitar) and Bobby Sparrow (drums).

The band's 'sound' - self-labeled as "creepbeat" - is reminiscent of early punk rock and to a lesser extent, the psychobilly genre; although the group had cited its influences as being equally from the 1950s and the 1970s.

In July 2005 they received their first national radio airplay, for their song "Snag", on BBC Radio One. In February 2006 they released a 7" single, "Those Who Can't", on the Art Goes Pop label, not long before announcing their break-up and a final performance in their hometown on Halloween of that year.
