- Zhinelia Watson
Zhinelia Watson was born on 30th June 1993 in Valladolid, Spain. She won the National Performing Arts Award in December 2006 for a comic sketch she performed with her sister on what kids mistakenly learn from adults’ behaviour. Between 2007 and 2008 she participated in several Spanish TV acting roles, including the national semi-finals of the Spanish National Channel 5 TV program “Tienes Talento” [You’ve Got Talent] . As well as her theater and TV performances, she has also participated in music groups and arts & music contests as well as having recorded several music CDs & a DVD for children.
Zhinelia has always stood out for her incredible ability to memorise and perform long pieces of text or script in a very short period of time. She has spoken English, Persian and Spanish since she was a young child and speaks all three languages fluently, as well as having studied French from an early age.
She has been singing, playing the violin and acting for many years. She is currently a violinist in the Valladolid Young Orchestra and studies music professionally at the Official Music Conservatory of Valladolid, where she lives. She has been a singer and performer in the teenage music group Chispas, which promotes ethical values among youth.
Zhinelia was one of the main singers chosen by the renowned Persian singer Ahdieh to sing and perform in her recent DVD for children, Bachehá, Bachehá ( [http://www.ahdiehmusic.com www.ahdiehmusic.com] ). In 2005, she recorded a series of 3 music albums called Pretty Kitten for the Editorial Everest publishing company as well as another CD called Funny Bunny in 2008.
In 2006, Zhinelia won the “Premio Revelación Francisco Rabal” Award in Castilla Leon, followed by the Spanish National Performing Arts Award for children at the end of 2006: [http://www.idiomaswatson.com/zhinelia+nura www.idiomaswatson.com/zhinelia+nura] . She currently receives singing and acting classes sponsored by the Teresa Rabal Foundation at the Cuarteto Teatro School of Theater. (Teresa Rabal and Francisco Rabal are renowned actors in Spain).
