Encyclopedia of Alabama

The "Encyclopedia of Alabama" is a comprehensive source of information on the state of Alabama's history, culture, geography, and natural environment. It is a state-wide collaboration that involves more than forty institutions from across Alabama that share their archives with the project. Auburn University hosts the encyclopedia's editorial offices and servers and the Alabama Humanities Foundation holds copyright to the encyclopedia's original content.cite news | last = Brantley| first = Mike | title = ON THE NET: Encyclopedia of Alabama| work = Press Register | publisher = al.com| date = 2008-09-24| url = http://www.al.com/news/press-register/metro.ssf?/base/news/1222247761109040.xml&coll=3 | accessdate = 2008-10-07] cite news | last = Cason| first = Mike | title = Gov.
