Juli Grbac

Juli Grbac (born 1978) is an Australian fashion designer who was the first winner of Project Runway Australia.

Hailing from Brisbane, Juli studied fashion design at Gateway TAFE in Brisbane and later went on to study fashion design in London. Juli worked as a hand sewer for various companies before starting her own label.

She started her own label "Grbac" in 2002. Juli then opened a store in the TC Beirne Centre in Fortitude Valley's Brunswick Street Mall. She works from the basement in her mother's house, and imports the designs all over Queensland. Her collection consists of long, silky, feminine dresses.

She was selected to be a participant on the first ever Project Runway Australia and made it to the final three, and she eventually won. She won the weekly challenge numerous times. Her most famous dress was the dress she created for singer Kelly Rowland, who wore the dress at concert for Prince Albert in Cannes, France.

Juli married her fiance Paul in 2008 in an intimate ceremony after previously postponing the wedding because she had to appear on Project Runway.

Juli hopes to expand her label, and she wants to open more shops around Australia. She will also have her designs modeled at Loreal Melbourne Fashion Week 2009.
