Ioannis Karathanasis born on February 17, 1991, in Thessaloniki, Greece is a Greek professional basketball player. He is 2.03 m (6 ft 8 in) in height and he plays at the small forward position. He is currently playing with the pro club Olympiacos BC.

Pro career

Greek national team

With Greece's junior men's national team, Karathanasis won the the gold medal at the 2008 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship. He also played at the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship with Greece's junior national team.
