Instruments were faced in white and a checkered stripe completed the 'cafe-racer' look. The engine was also upgraded with new cams and pistons increased by 90 mm, taking capacity to 865 c.c. and power up to 70bhp.cite web|url=http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/triumph/triumph-thruxton-900-16288.html|title=Triumph Thruxton 900|accessdate=2008-09-16]
