Balkan Holidays Ltd. was formed in 1966 and was state owned until 1999, when it was privatised.
In 2002, the company carried 70,000 passengers.
In 2005, passanger numbers rose to 142,000, which was the best year to date.
Croatia programme has also seen growth in the last four years, from 400 passengers in 2000 to 10,000 in summer 2005.
The parent company of Balkan Holidays has also invested in Bansko, Bulgaria’s ski resort, this has resulted in new lifts, ski runs plus a number of quality four and five star hotels.
