Whitehill (Hitchin)

Whitehill is a residential area in the south east of Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England and is based on Whitehill Road and the surrounding roads. It forms part of Highbury ward for local government purposes. Whitehill Road is the main bus route south through Hitchin after the Stevenage Road bus routes. The local Primary School, Whitehill Junior School is around halfway up the road heading North. The Red House, a large red brick house that used to be the seat of the owner of the orchards that made up most of the surrounding area up until the Industrial Revolution is also found on Whitehill Road.
