- Prosansanosmilus
Prosansanosmilus is a genus of extinct "false sabre-tooths" (also known as Paleofelids), and a member of the family
Barbourofelidae . Like all barbourofelids, Prosansanosmilus was very muscular, short legged and probably walked plantigrade (flat-footed). There are only two subspecies of Prosansanosmilus:"Prosansanosmilus eggeri" and "Prosansanosmilus peregrinus", which lived in Spain, France, and Germany during the LateMiocene period.
