Ladhegar

Ladhegar is one of the sects in the Devanga.The first preferences is given to Ladhegar for do pooja in ths Sri Ramalinga Chowedeshwari Temple.There is lots of inter division in the Ladhegar according to the their heritage temples.Most of Ladhegar who follows vaishanava(praying vishnu).

In inter-devision in the ladhagar is like Hosour Ladhegar,Vandanoor Ladhegar,Macheri Ladhegar,Jalakanndapura Ladhegar,Badhapalli Ladhegar ,Iyyappanakayamaplaya Ladhegar .Basically all the Ladhegar is same but according to the matha manhai the setcs is divided in to the inter-devision.nowadays people are sutiated in the different geographical locations so that is very difficul for them to reach the temple in a particular day for the special pooja.For people convenience new temples are builted in their geographical location.People who belongs to the new temple is treated as one of the inter-devision in the Ladhegar.

One of the intersects in Ladhegar is "Manur kula Devanga Sri Agayasthya Maharashi gothra Hosour Ladhegar" (Hosour Matha manhai) .The god Chanraya Perumal temple is located in Yenadhi village.Which is 8 kms From Omalur,Salem ,Tamil Nadu .Sri Chanaraya Temple was builted in between 13 to 14 centuary. The real name of god might be Sen Nel Rayan.The day by day the name truned in to Sri Chenraya Perumal.The temple was builted by one of the Devanga person called Kondu Chetti.we can get this message from the stone writing which is near to the temple.on those day the agriculture and weaving was the major jobs on that area.

The village Chemmana halli is located near to the Yenadi.Sri Akkamma temple is located in the village Chemmana halli which is one of the family deity temple.

Basically the devnga are Kanadigas.But nowadays People are divided in to the different locations who are speaking Kannada,Telugu,Tamil,Marathi.They have been living in their location for more than 500 to 600 years so their rituals and laungage are changed to the native of their geogeriphical area.Nowadays lots of people who are living in the Tamilnadu speaking tamil more than Kannada.but ther is no Tamil devanga,The division of telegu speaking people is called as telegu devanga whose mother toungh is remaning as telegu from begening.
