Beverly Davis is a former professional golfer and currently an instructor with LPGA International. She was on the college team at the University of Florida from 1976 to 1979 when she was a student there and joined the LPGA Tour in 1980.

Amateur career

At Florida, Davis was a two-time All-American and a four-year letter winner. Her wins in a UF uniform include three individual meet titles and eight team titles. In 1975, she ranked sixth of the top 10 female amateur golfers in America.

Accomplishments

* Won the 1975 Trans-National Championship and
* Runner-up finish to Nancy Lopez in the 1976 NCAA Championship
* Joined the LPGA Tour in 1980.
* Two-time All American at the University of Florida
* One of the country’s top 10 Female Amateur Golfers in America.

Professional career

Davis competed in the LPGA Tour from 1980 to 1986. In that stint, she recorded a career-best finish in a tie for fifth at the Mary Kay Classic in 1982 and also took 10th in the ’82 U.S. Women’s Open. She was runner-up in the LPGA Qualifying School in 1980 and 1986. During her professional career, Davis shot a personal low of 66.

Accomplishments

* Won the 2005 LPGA Teaching and Club Professional (T&CP) Southeast Section Team Championship,
* 14th place finish in the 2004 LPGA T&CP National Championship and
* 3rd place finish in the 2006 LPGA T&CP Northeast Sectional Championship.
