Board of Appeals

Board of Appeals

A board of appeals is a panel of officials, typically appointed by an elected officer, charged with making decisions on the continuing applicability of administrative decisions. Such a board is often consulted when the strict application of a zoning regulation, for example, may lead to an unintended consequence.
