Er Canaro

Pietro De Negri - called Er Canaro (Roman dialect "the dogs keeper"), is an Italian Criminal, a dog coiffeur (hence the nickname) and a cocaine addict of the poor roman neighbourhood of the "Magliana".The 18th february 1988, he was 27, became infamusly famous because he killed the former boxer and quarter tough guy Giancarlo Ricci, who was a cocaine addict too.The so called Canaro's killing (Italian "delitto del Canaro") is remembered as one of the most gruesome crime carried out in Italy since the end of the Second World War, particularly because the victime watched powerless the numerous mutilation. Giancarlo Ricci's homicideDe Negri had been a victim of Ricci's arrogant behaviour. The 18th February 1988 Ricci entered into Pietro De Negri's shop as always, Beating and slapping him; but today De Negri had a plan. He told Ricci that a cocaine pusher was coming into the shop and if Ricci would hide himself into a dog cage they could have stolen the pusher's cocaine and the money. As soon as Ricci entered into the cage De Negri locked him in. He tortured Ricci for seven hours, he left him tied with a chain and went to the daughter's school to take her home, later went back to his shop and continued his plan.The morning after Ricci's body was found in a landfill still covered in smoke, De Negri threw some fuel and tried to burn the body before leaving it.The man gave a lift to Ricci, confessed that he had left the man in front of De Negri's Shop.De Negri confessed his murder, he served 16 out of 24 years in prison.

He's now a clerk of a law firm.

Ricci's was tortured to death in a very sadistic way, some of his finger were removed, the were inside his orifices, his ears cut and pieces of his face, his tongue removed and his penis was put into his mouth, the boxer died of asphyxia according to the post mortem but De Negri pierced his eye with the cut fingers and smashed his teeth and his head with a pipe wrench and "washed" his brain with dog shampoo.
