- Pangenome
The Pangenome is the common (collective) genetic system of all living organisms, the organic molecules and their complexes (DNA- and RNA-containing viruses, plasmids, transposons, insertion sequences) involved in the storage and transmission processes of genetic information.
This concept is proposed by Victor V. Tetz [cite journal|last=Tetz|first=Victor V.|date=2005|title=The pangenome concept: a unifying view of genetic information|journal=Med Sci Monit|volume=11|issue=7|pages=HY24-29|url=http://journals.indexcopernicus.com/fulltxt.php?ICID=16885]
