Frederick of Anhalt-Dessau (b.
Dessau ,27 December 1769 - d.Dessau ,27 May 1814 ), was a German prince member of theHouse of Ascania and heir of the Principality (and since 1807 Duchy) ofAnhalt-Dessau .He was the only surviving child of Leopold III, Prince and later Duke of Anhalt-Dessau by his wife and cousin Louise Henriette Wilhelmine, daughter of

In 1786 he joined to the
Prussian army, when he obtain later the rank of "Generalfeldmarschall ". In 1805 he made the contract of build of the Kühnauer Park.Frederick died three years before his father; for this he never inherited Anhalt-Dessau. His place as Leopold III's heir was taken by his older son Leopold Frederick, who succeeded his grandfather in 1817 with the name of Leopold IV.
