(2008)"Long Gone" is a song by American singer-songwriter
Chris Cornell , from his upcoming third solo studio album, "Scream". The song featuresTimbaland . It was released as the a promo single from the album onJuly 29 ,2008 as a digital download. Background
The song is the very first song Cornell recorded with Timbaland, the song seems to talk about someone who loves someone, but of course, that someone does not like him. Cornell also explained that this song is his favorite track off the album. The song has a hip-hop-ish beat but is made to sound like pop-music completely through. Cornell does use a real guitar in the song, but uses Timbaland's drum machine for other instruments in the track.
