Auckland CBD, New Zealand in 2006. It will eventually build 410 transmitters in four cities. It will use theW-CDMA technology, the 3G technology also used byVodafone New Zealand . The technology is supplied byHuawei . It will use the access code 028. Analysts predict it needs to undercut the incumbent by 50% in order to gain market share because in a country with 4 million people, 3.2 million of them adults, there are 3.6 million cellphones.
