(1994)"Everyday" is a ballad pop song by Phil Collins, released as the second single of his fifth studio album, Both Sides in 1994.
History
Due to the lackluster of the first single of the album, Both Sides of the Story which only peaked at #25 on Billboard Hot 100 (the first time for any of Collins' lead singles not to reach the top 20 in USA), Collins' record label urged the release of the second single. The decision was right, the single peaked one place higher than the previous single, peaked at #24 on Billboard Hot 100. However, in Collins' nation, UK, the single performed worse than the previous single, peaked at #15.
Video
In the music video, Collins moved in to a new house. Inside his new house, all of the properties were still covered and the wall was painted white. He was singing and playing piano throughout the video. Collins' record label didn't promote the single heavily, so the video didn't get much airplay on MTV and VH1, just as same as his previous single, Both Sides of the Story.
