Levan Tediashvili

Levan Tediashvili (born 15 March 1948) is a former Soviet wrestler and Olympic champion in Freestyle wrestling.

Olympics

Tediashvili competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich where he received a gold medal in Freestyle wrestling, the "middleweight" class. World championships

He received a gold medal in the "82 kg class" at the 1971 FILA Wrestling World Championships, and gold medals in the "90 kg class" in 1973, 1974 and 1975. At the 1978 FILA Wrestling World Championships he received a silver medal in the "100 kg class".

Awards

Tediashvili was selected among the Soviet Union top ten athletes of the year in 1973 by the Federation of Sports Journalists of the USSR.
